Hello, I'm Alex (Gannein in the studio and behind the deck) : french-born, berlin-based, self-taught. I've released on labels like Vault Sessions, Mindtrip and other respected labels, both on vinyl and digital, and played as a DJ in rooms like Tresor, Renate and Razzmatazz. That's what I actually teach : saving you those years, and understanding the judgment behind every decision, so you know why a choice works, not just that it does, and can take your music wherever you actually want it to go. WHAT ACTUALLY CHANGES
The technical stuff (drum programming, mixdown, arrangement, sound design) is what we work on. But what usually changes most is quieter than that : trusting your own choices instead of copying someone else's, understanding what the philosophy of this music is about, and treating production as something you explore rather than something you have to get right.
FAQ
Do I need to be already skilled ?
No. The mentorship works from "I have loops but never finish" upwards. Complete beginners start with a Deep Session : I'll tell you honestly if a mentorship makes sense yet.
How long until I see results ?
Every student is different, but most people notice a real shift within 4 sessions, and renew their mentoring program if their goal is to finish a track or a project.
What do I need ?
Ableton Live (any recent version, trial is fine to start), Muse (https://musesessions.co/), headphones or monitors, and a few hours a week to produce between sessions.
Is everything really recorded ?
Yes. Every session is recorded and shared, so you never take notes instead of learning.
Payment ?
PayPal, upfront or in instalments (3×€200 for the 4-week).
A spot is confirmed at first payment.
English or French ?
Both. Sessions in whichever you're more comfortable in.
What if I can't make a week ?
We reschedule within the week when possible. Life happens; the structure stays.
