Refine Your Sound & produce Club-Ready Techno Masters
Ableton Coaching & Mentorship with Gannein :
Berlin-based producer whose tracks are played consistently by Ben Klock, DVS1, Rene Wise, Polygonia and more, in rooms like Berghain, Tresor and Bassiani.
I'm Alex, Gannein in the studio and behind the decks. French, Berlin-based, self-taught. I've released on Vault Sessions, Soma, ARTS, Mindtrip and other respected labels, both on vinyl and digital, and played rooms like Tresor, Renate and Razzmatazz. My production masterclass sits on Home of Sound alongside Rødhåd, Blawan and Setaoc Mass.None of that came quickly. I learned this the slow way, years of trial and error nobody handed me a shortcut through. That's what I actually teach : saving you those years, and understanding the judgment behind every decision, so you know why a choice works, not just that it does, and can take your music wherever you actually want it to go. Together, we find your sound. Not mine. Not a trend. Yours.
No pre-recorded course, no modules : just us, your project & honest feedback and tips sharing, with all sessions recorded and yours to keep.
Sound familiar ?
Most producers I work with
are already good. That's not the problem. The problem is one of these :
The loop that's been sitting in your project for months, still labeled "untitled."
A mix that sounds great in your headphones and falls apart the moment you check it anywhere else.
You can hear something's off in the low end : you just can't name what it is.
You've gotten this far entirely on your own. You can also feel exactly where "on your own" stops working.
If any of these sound like you, that's exactly what the sessions below are built to fix.
COACHING A
" MENTORSHIP PROGRAM "
One goal : a finished, mixed,
club-ready track, and the workflow
to repeat it without me.
How it works:
Weekly 1:1 sessions on Muse (75 min), recorded and shared with you.
Feedback between sessions: send me your project, I reply with a screen-recorded review or voice notes.
A structure that adapts to where you're actually stuck : sound design, arrangement, mixdown, or simply finishing what you start.
My ears on every version of your track until it's done.
8-Week :
for building a track
from scratch
at a sustainable pace
8 live sessions (10 hours total).
Feedback between sessions : send me your project once a week, I reply with voice notes & written notes within 48h.
€900 total (pay upfront or 3×€300).
Only 4 spots a month : full, undivided attention on your project, every week.
4-Week :
for a track already in progress that needs
focused pressure to finish
4 live sessions (5 hours total).
Feedback between sessions : send me your project once a week, I reply with voice notes & written notes within 48h.
€500 total (upfront or 2×€250).
Same limited spots, same full attention : compressed into one focused month.
Most students see a real shift within 4–6 sessions. Some keep going longer : that's normal, and there's a path for that below.
COACHING B
" KEEP GOING "
For students who've finished a mentorship
and want to keep the momentum going.
One 90-minute live session a month on Muse, recorded & shared
One in-depth review between sessions (voice notes & written notes with a 48h turnaround)
€180/month, cancel anytime.
Limited spots : this naturally stays small
since it's for people I already know well.
COACHING C
" DEEP SESSION "
2 hours, fully focused on whatever moves you forward most :
building a track from scratch with my workflow, a deep feedback pass on what you're already working on or Ableton fundamentals if you're just starting out. Recorded and yours to keep afterward.
The best way to see if we work well together.
€150 (if you join a mentorship within 2 weeks, the full session price is deducted).

TESTIMONIALS FROM PEOPLE
I HAVE WORKED WITH
masst - Paris, France
"I was stuck from lack of knowledge of Ableton, especially on mixdown. But the biggest change wasn't just technical : I learned to have ambition and to believe in myself, and I now approach production as exploration rather than pressure for a result. My tracks became more personal, I found my own workflow, and I've finished around twenty tracks, including an EP released on Synergie."
Anonymous - Berlin, Germany
"I'd already done a full year at an overpriced production school before working with Gannein 1:1 and the difference was immediate. At school, I learned a wide range of techniques and had to figure out on my own how to apply them to my music. With Alex, I went straight for the sound I was actually aiming for. It was a game changer."
Mr Coalman - Kristiansund, Norway
"As someone who's since had tracks chart in Beatport's Techno (Raw/Deep/Hypnotic) Top 100, I only had two sessions with Gannein, years ago, and they've stuck with me since. What made it different wasn't just the technical knowledge : it was how Gannein talked about techno as an art form, not just a set of techniques. Those two conversations changed how I thought about what I was making, at a time when I felt genuinely stuck creatively. If you want someone who teaches you how to think about techno, not just which buttons to press, I'd recommend learning from Gannein without hesitation."
Pangal - Santiago, Chile
"I came in as a classically trained composer, and Gannein helped me translate that into techno rather than abandon it : how a track should evolve, how sound occupies space, how powerful simplicity actually is. I finished mixdowns of two tracks we worked on together, I'm producing faster with way less second-guessing, and I'm now preparing my first self-releases with a live set to follow. For the first time, I have a clear direction for my project."
Downpour - Seoul, South Korea
"Before working with Gannein, I was stuck without objective feedback on my Techno tracks. His detailed guidance clarified my strengths, making my workflow efficient and fun. I’ve since produced 10 high-quality tracks and feel ready to pursue label signings."
DE LA ROCHA - Frankfurt, Germany
"I was stuck in my own world : my ears weren't trained enough to hear my own weak spots, even with reference tracks. Working with Gannein gave me the confidence to be bolder, to actually trust my own choices instead of leaning on presets and loops. That shift gave me the push I needed to develop my own sound : I finished 5 club-ready tracks in two months, and 2 of them just got signed to a label for a VA EP."
Anonymous Producer - New York, United States
"I was stuck on getting a good low end. I didn't even know the real difference between sub, kick and bass, or how a track's composition actually worked. Now I understand the workflow behind a properly mixed low end and know the right tools to use. Having Gannein involved in my mixing and mastering gave me a confidence in my own music I'd always struggled to find."
Brandon Barker - Phoenix, United States
"My skills had plateaued, and being self-taught,
I needed a different perspective. Working with Gannein changed how I hear my own mixes : but just as much, having someone I look up to in this scene believe in my potential gave me a confidence that's carried into everything I make since. My mixing and my confidence in my music both grew because of it."
Anonymous Producer - Detroit, United States
"My challenge was finishing tracks. I have countless unfinished projects because turning a concept into something complete is where I got stuck. Working in session view to draft and 'jam' gave me stronger foundations, and I'm happier with how my ideas actually sound now."
Undressed - Madrid, Spain
"Before this, I felt lost : I could experiment, but without any clear direction, and I needed real structure. Once I had a solid foundation to build from, I was surprised how fast you can actually reach a goal. I've only had one session so far, so I'm far from a finished track, but I've already stopped feeling like an imposter for creating what inspires me : and I want more coaching."
WHAT ACTUALLY CHANGES
"The technical stuff - mixdown, arrangement, sound design - is what we work on.
But what usually changes most is quieter than that : trusting your own choices instead
of copying someone else's, and treating production as something you explore rather
than something you have to get right."

FAQ
Do I need to be already skilled ?
No. The mentorship works from "I have loops but never finish" upwards. Complete beginners start with a Deep Session : I'll tell you honestly if a mentorship makes sense yet.
How long until I see results ?
Every student is different, but most people notice a real shift within 4–6 sessions. Some finish there; others keep going month to month afterward (see "Keep Going" above) : both are normal paths.
What do I need ?
Ableton Live (any recent version, trial is fine to start), Muse (https://musesessions.co/), headphones or monitors, and a few hours a week to produce between sessions.
Is everything really recorded ?
Yes. Every session is recorded and shared, so you never take notes instead of learning.
Payment ?
PayPal, upfront or in instalments (3×€300 for the 8-week, 2×€250 for the 4-week). A spot is confirmed at first payment.
English or French ?
Both. Sessions in whichever you're more comfortable in.
What if I can't make a week ?
We reschedule within the week when possible. Life happens; the structure stays.
